More great communication with AISD
I received a very nice note from Daniel Combs, Alvin ISD Director of Communications. He has been very responsive and gracious and appreciates our interest and collaborative approach regarding an SCR area high school.
One question I asked centered around the demographic report that was used by the most recent Citizens Advisory Council (CAC). Mr. Combs provided the link to the Templeton Demographic information from March 2011. This report reflects the most up to date information at the time of the 2011 CAC.
Friendly reminder that we should all attend the meeting on the 29th with Dr. Brent for further information and discussion!

According to this, NRJH is going to run out of space 2013-14 and all Elementary schools in SCR will run our of space by 2014-15. Marek is already over capacity....This is phenomenal growth! How does this not justify another high school in the area?!?!
ReplyDeleteI think that is exactly the type of question that Dr. Brent will address at the meeting on May 29th. I also want to know if AISD plans to engage Templeton for an updated report next school year. My understanding is that the issue of a 3rd high school will be around the timing. I hope to see you at the meeting!
